Mental health–informed mentoring for scientists who want a sustainable career and a life outside work

Career development support for scientists, grounded in

Mental Health First Aid principles, for those navigating

growth, change, and balance without burning out.

Preventative, supportive, and non-clinical.

I work with scientists and science-adjacent professionals who care deeply about their work, but don’t want professional success to come at the expense of their wellbeing, relationships, or life outside work.

As a woman of colour in science, and the daughter of immigrant parents, my own career has been intentionally non-linear. I have navigated public and private sectors, lab and non-lab roles, leadership environments, freelance work, and corporate systems. Along the way, I have experienced and overcome the quiet realities of bias around age, gender, and race, learning how to adapt, build resilience, and design systems that evolve as responsibilities grow.

The people I support are capable, thoughtful, and motivated. But as careers progress and expectations increase, work can begin to occupy more mental and emotional space than it should, particularly for those who feel they must constantly prove themselves.

My role is to help you step back, reduce cognitive load, and rethink how work fits into your life, not just how it looks on paper.

Together, we focus on building a way of working that supports both career progression and personal priorities. You can pursue ambition without sacrificing your health, values, or the parts of your identity that exist beyond work.

My approach is grounded in mentorship, informed by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) principles, and shaped by over 20 years across the life-science sector, including research, technical support, scientific communication, marketing, leadership contexts, and independent freelancing.

I bring practical insight, reflective structure, and calm guidance to help people navigate growth, complexity, and responsibility, while protecting their mental wellbeing and creating space for a sustainable, fulfilling life beyond work.
